Recovery details Behind the email and the password sits a layer most buyers forget: recovery phone numbers, backup email addresses, and security questions. Any of these can be used to pull an account back. After a handover, go through the account's security settings and replace every recovery route with your own. Do it the same day. How old the account is Account age is not vanity. Platforms treat new accounts differently from established ones: lower posting limits, more frequent verification prompts, less trust from their own automated systems. An account registered several years ago has passed the fragile stage. That is why aged accounts cost more, and why the registration year is worth checking rather than skimming. Age also has to be plausible against the rest of the profile. An account described as six years old with no history at all is worth a question. Where it was registered The registration country affects which features are available and how the platform's systems read your activity. Signing into an account registered on the other side of the world, from a different address, is one of the most common triggers for a verification challenge. It does not make the account unusable, but it does mean the first login deserves care: sign in from a stable connection, do not immediately change six settings at once, and give the account a few days of ordinary use before doing anything that matters. The first hour after delivery Whatever the listing said, treat the first hour as the handover. Change the password. Change the email if it has not already been changed.
